buttons,hems, and holes

july24th 7:30 pm

Join us in the charming courtyard of Mary's Rack for another engaging and educational workshop, "Buttons, Hems, and Holes: Mending 101." Led by the talented Maebh Mullen from The CrossStitch NOLA, this two-hour session is perfect for anyone interested in learning the art of clothing repair.

Mending clothes not only extends their lifetime but also contributes to a more sustainable lifestyle. By investing time in repairing our clothing, we reduce waste and promote mindful consumption. This workshop is an excellent step towards building a more sustainable future, one stitch at a time.

participants will have the opportunity to bring their problem garments and receive hands-on guidance in addressing various mending issues. Whether it's a missing button, a torn hem, or a pesky hole, Maebh will teach you the skills needed to breathe new life into your wardrobe. *Please note that due to time constraints, we may not be able to help each person with their specific garment. However, we will all be learning together and gaining valuable hands-on experience. In addition if you do not have a problem piece to bring in you will still be able to get some stitching in!

Don't miss this chance to learn valuable mending techniques and make a positive impact on the environment. We look forward to seeing you there! The space is limited due to, well, space.

there are a few spots reserved for those who may have a barrier due to money. Please Dm Mary’s rack to claim a spot!
